WWE Wrestling Rankings till June 28th
It was a rough week in the world of professional wrestling as the Fatal Four Way, Pay per View took place. Many important championship belts changed hands in different matches as new wrestlers made an impact in the ring. More wrestlers fought in the ring on Monday Night RAW and Friday Night Smack Down and geared up for the upcoming Pay per View called the “Money in the Bank”. Money in the Bank will be a dangerous match where wrestlers will risk their careers to climb the ladder to win the contract for a championship match at any time they wish. After last week, Rey Mysterio is on the 1st position, Sheamus on 2nd, Kofi Kingston on 3rd, Big Show on 4th and John Cena on 5th position.
It is the Rated – R superstar, “Edge” who has occupied the 6th position in the wrestling rankings. Edge failed to capture the prestigious WWE Championship at the Fatal Four Way, Pay per View. The match was characterized by outside interference of NXT rookies who punched and kicked Edge during the match. However Edge succeeded to make an impact on Monday Night Raw as he came from behind and speared Randy Orton in his abdomen.
The current United States Wrestling Champion “The Miz” is climbing the ladder of success from the last two weeks. Miz who is on the 7th position in professional wrestling rankings who successfully defended his United States Wrestling title against R – Truth at Fatal Four Way, Pay per View. Miz is getting more arrogant as he claimed that he will win the WWE championship to have two titles at the same time. Miz has been training Alex Riley, who is his rookie on NXT. Miz has vowed that he will make Alex Riley the next break out star on WWE.
The apex predator of WWE, the viper, “Randy Orton” lost two ranking points and received the 8th position this week. Randy Orton, who is considered as one of the most dominant wrestlers in WWE has been a multiple time world champion. However Randy Orton failed to capture the WWE championship at the Fatal Four Way, Pay per View. Randy Orton vowed in front of the professional wrestling world that he will take retribution against the NXT rookies as they interfered in his match. However Randy Orton was assaulted by The Miz on Monday Night RAW and was then speared by the Rated – R, superstar, “Edge”.
It has been a mixed week for the Hart dynasty as they retained their 9th position from last week. Hart Dynasty which comprised of Tyson Kidd and David Hart Smith defeated The Usos in a non – title match at the Fatal Four Way, Pay per View. However the Hart Dynasty was attacked and beaten up the same night when the former NXT rookies appeared and roughed up everyone who came in their way. This is the start of a rivalry between the Hart Dynasty and the NXT rookies. NXT is also responsible for assaulting the former general of RAW, the legendary Bret “The Hit Man” Hart.
All is good for the high flying Evan Bourne as he climbed the ladder of success and received the 10th position this week. Evan Bourne has been impressive since his WWE debut and has shaken up many established wrestlers of WWE. The latest success for Evan Bourne came when he defeated the multiple time world champion, Chris Jericho at the Fatal Four Way, pay per View. Evan Bourne who is known for his high flying and high risk manoeuvres became the first wrestler in the state of Missouri to receive the wrestling license under the age of 18.
The wrestling rankings are not constant and may change as the wrestlers win and lose their matches in the coming week. One big win or a loss can effectively change the rankings and may take the wrestler to new heights of popularity.
