Question:

WWE breaking the fourth wall?

Recently WWE had been making refrence to a lot of superstar's run-ins with the law or personal lives. Remember when Edge parodied Ric Flair's "road rage"? Or when somebody mentioned Santino's DUI?. When MVP mentioned Jeff Hardy's personal problems? And how about CM Punk's mention of Randy Orton on his bike? What do you think about WWE exposing it? Do you think wrestlers get embarrased?

  1. I noticed that on RAW, when CM Punk mentioned that to Randy Orton.I think that the WWE is going a bit too far with that, I think the

wrestlers are kinda embarresed but the promos are scripted.....On the other hand it is pretty entertaining. :)

  2. I don't think that it's always such a great idea. But, sometimes, it's good storyline fodder.

  3. I think sometimes it's unfair how WWE bring up personal moments in someone's lives.

I didn't like that they mentioned Jeff's dog and his house, as I think that's a very personal matter to touch on. Sometimes though, it can remind the superstars that in the future, if they do not want to be embarassed, they have to avoid making news outside of the WWE.

Sometimes it can be a good thing. For example, as bad as this might sound, the feud between Matt Hardy and Edge a couple of years back on RAW was that much better because of the personal issues that were added to the feud. Again, it's bad for the superstars but good for a business move and for an all out wrestling feud that fans will enjoy.

I really like the idea of it happening sometimes unless it's an extreme case, as it can spice up feuds and at the same time, remind the superstars to learn from their mistakes.

  4. it kinda cool. in what other medium of entertainment do actors throw their real lives in front of us? its unique.

  5. i agree with Joe Dollar

  6. I think dey do it on purpose n Jeff Hardy beat da F**** out of mvp 4 talkin bout his life 2 i would hav 2

  7. Not really.

WWE wrestlers are usually, if not all the time, asked beforehand if the angle is OK before it happens. That type of thing used to happen in the past, especially if an incident is regarded beyond just wrestling news.

Things like that used to happen in the past as well. It's nothing new, though it is distasteful IMO.

  8. I think it is being used as a type f punishment/ embarrasment by letting the wrestlers know that the WWE wont cover up for them and that they better straiten up.  With Je=ff, he needs more than this because it is a matter of time before he fails his last drug test
