WWE drops the Ultimate Underdog Rey Mysterio from top 5 list of WWE Power 25 – WWE Update
WWE has updated the rankings for the week of July 31 to August 6 on the basis of events conducted between these days. WWE has removed The Ultimate Underdog from third place in the Top 5 and placed him on eighth place in the Power 25 list for this week.
The last two weeks were the dramatic one for The Ultimate Underdog. He captured the WWE title over The Miz in the WWE Championship tournament on July 25 that was arranged by the WWE Chairman, Vince McMahon in the previous week. Unfortunately Mysterio had
to fight in another championship match in the same segment against John Cena that he lost.
The Master of 619 had to drop his title on the same day when he won the match. Although, he lost the match, but still he was the WWE title winner. Thus, WWE put him into third place in the Power 25 list last week.
In addition, The Ultimate Underdog participated in the Monday Night Raw segment on August 1. Mysterio teamed with John Morrison and fought his tag team bout against The Miz and R-Truth. Mysterio and Morrison worked their best but they lost the tag team match
to Truth and Miz. Due to this loss, The Academy of Wrestling Arts and Science removed Mysterio from Top 5 list and placed him on eighth spot in the current week’s list.
WWE has officially announced that John Cena and CM Punk will fight in a “WWE Champion Vs WWE Champion” match at SummerSlam on August 14. The person who will win the WWE Championship fight at SummerSlam, he will be the Undisputed WWE Champion and he will
face The Ultimate Underdog during Monday Night Raw segment.
The Raw segment will be conducted one day after SummerSlam. The fight between The Undisputed WWE Champion and Mysterio is announced because Mysterio lost his title as he had to fight in two matches in the same segment. Mysterio did not participated in the
Monday Night Raw this week because he is preparing himself for the championship fight.
