  1. "Foo Fighters"

  2. Probably has something to do with extreme fatigue, not getting enough sleep.

    .

  3. tip tanks?

  4. what things? i need to know.

  5. Yeah its Foo fighters...

I am a private pilot and I experienced this once when I flying a solo cross country,, but it was about half an hour after takeoff so I was fresh,, I paid more attention and realized that it was some kind of glare due to sun..

Had I seen this after 2hrs into flight I am sure I would be betting my backside that its was UFO. Flying takes its toll on pilots,, I have flown long flights with my instructors in hot California sun,, near the end both of us feeling and acting as if we just smoked a pot..

And this is especially true about manual flying (planes not equipped with autopilot), So that can explain this happening with ww2 fighter pilots,, u can imagine them sitting in that loud, vibrating cockpit for hours under tense situation

  6. St Elmo's Fire

  7. Umm...hallucinations, distortions, fatigue...?

  8. Foo fighters was the term attached to these items but they were officially classified as UFOs. Not all UFOs are the flying saucer kind. Most reports indicated a bright light or a ball of fire flying in formation with the airplane just off the wingtip, then speeding off to wherever.
