  1. Do you have dialup or DSL?

If you have DSL, it's a filter problem.

If you have dialup, it's call waiting. Just select the 'disable call waiting' option on your dialer.

  2. Sounds like you have dialup. If so, you have call waiting. You need to disable call waiting under your Windows Connection Properties.

    Cheers

  3. It's because your 802.11g/n wireless router and cordless phone are both using the same frequency - 2.5GHz.  Even when the phone rings, it's communicating via radio between the handset and the base.

    Get a 5GHz phone

  4. Well if you use your phone line to get internet it doesn't matter what company because the phone line can only hold one signal. Either get a new service like cable internet or add another phone line.

  5. I suspect you have dial-up.  Regardless of whether you have a different ISP than your telephone provider, the connection uses the same phone line.  That's why you get disconnected.  Might I suggest getting a separate line for your connection so that you can bypass this issue if it's that big of a problem.
