Wacky nosy neighbors what should i do?

i got a neighbor next door who's a little kooky. i come home from the deli and i'm opening up my door when i notice a head pop out of a next door neighbors apartment. i look over and the guy slams the door shut. then i go to open the door with my key and his head pops out again i look over and he slams the door again. then i notice he opens the door a crack and leaves open a bit. i shrugged my shoulders and went inside. the next time i was thinking about waving to him or something anyone got any better ideas that don't involve violence and curse words. i don't want to get evicted. i just want to let him know i see him. lol

Call the police and maybe the neighbors will understand!

I highly recommend you contact the police!

Trust me on this!  It would work out better than violence and curse words!

I'd probably just ignore him if he's weird and let him get on with it.  But if you want to be friendly just say 'hi' and see what he does.  If he ignores you then fine, you know where you stand with him, but he might say 'hi' back because he's a bit shy or something and was waiting for you to make the first move.

However, if he is bonkers, I'm sure you don't really want much to do with someone like that and in that case, the last thing you'd want is for him to think you're on his side and start coming over all the time, so tread carefully!

bring a cake over, so he knows you're being friendly, then ask him why he does that!

it is spooky and makes you uncomfortable.

I would suggest saying 'good afternoon / Hi... can I help you/are you ok' in a very loud voice so he is clear that you see him but also it gives him the opportunity to get to know you.

He sounds rude at the very least. I'm sure he noticed you but was unwilling to acknowledge your presence. Seriously lacking in social skills. Is that a project you really want to take on? If not, just ignore him.

I had one of those kinds of people living next door to me. Mine had a bit of a chemical imbalance, so all I suggest is ignore him to the best of your ability. My neighbor used to curse at me from behind his door, but when he saw me, he was as meek as a mouse.
