Wade Barrett forces his teammates John Cena and David Otunga to give up their WWE Tag Team Titles
Wade Barrett, the team leader of Nexus, was standing in the middle of the ring along with David Otunga, John Cena, Justin Gabriel and Heath Slater during last week’s RAW when David Otunga complained to his team leader about John
Cena and stated that John Cena ignored his teammate during their Tag Team Championship match at Bragging Rights against former tag team champions Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre.
Keeping in mind the team of John Cena and David Otunga won the title and it does not matter who played a bigger role in this run, David Otunga insisted that his teammate John Cena let him down and secured the victory for their
team with an Attitude Adjustment and later on hit David with an AA as well.
Therefore, once again, David Otunga reminded John Cena that he can either be against the Nexus or with them. Otunga stated that it was quite clear at Bragging Rights that John Cena was against him and since David Otunga is a part
of the Nexus, it clearly means that John Cena was against the Nexus. Since Wade Barrett also lost the match because of John Cena since he hit Wade with an AA as well to secure him the victory in his WWE Championship match against Randy Orton via disqualification,
Wade was definitely not happy with Cena and it was quite clear that he was going to do something about it.
According to David Otunga, John Cena should have been fired but Wade Barrett had something else on his mind. Barrett agreed with his teammate about the fact that John Cena and David Otunga cannot coexist as the tag team champions.
Therefore, he announced a tag team championship match amongst the Nexus itself.
It was the tag team champions John Cena and David Otunga versus Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel. However, this was not just it: Wade Barrett asked John Cena to do the right thing since Nexus does not fight amongst itself. Basically,
what Wade Barrett was asking John Cena to do was lose the match against the team of Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel indirectly and hand them over their tag team titles.
Surprisingly, Wade cleared it to his team that he was not talking asking John Cena to lose the match, he was actually asking David Otunga to lie down in the ring and forfeit the tag team title to his teammates Heath Slater and
Justin Gabriel.
After a long argument between David and Wade, Barrett finally convinced Otunga to follow his orders and even though Otunga was not happy about this and kept arguing with his team leader, John Cena tagged him in and Otunga unwillingly
had to lie down in the middle of the ring and give up his tag team title.
It seemed that David Otunga had to face the consequences as his own words backfired on him even though he was the one complaining about John Cena. David and John Cena therefore lost their titles just one night after winning them
and Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel became the new so-called tag team champions.
The WWE is becoming like a sideshow since the Nexus has taken over and it is about time that someone steps up just like John Cena was trying to and fight against this force. It is quite clear that Wade is just trying to impose
his power and prove that he is controlling all the decisions that are being made on RAW.
John Cena walked away from the ring as soon as he saw his teammate David Otunga lie down and lose the championship Cena earned for his team.
