and blocked 7 Hornets shots.
Heat took some time to find their rhythm and were a bit sluggish in the first quarter, but they took control of the game in the second and then raced to victory.
The score was tied on 8 early in the period after a Lopez free throw for the Hornets. Roger Mason Jr. knocked down a three pointer to put the Hornet ahead on 13-10, before Mario Chalmers countered it with a shot from behind the

Hornets got off to a decent start in the second period and were up 37-31 after the early goings of the quarter. The defending NBA Champions then sprang into action and went for an 11-0 scoring spree to snatch the lead, going up
42-37. There was no looking back for them after that as they kept pulling ahead and a James layup pushed their lead to 51-39. Miami were enjoying a comfortable 64-47 lead at halftime.
LeBron scored the first six points for Heat in the third period to put them up 70-54. The Hornets however, were not to be silenced that easily and an 11-2 run slashed the deficit down to 65-75, with 3:59 to go in the quarter. The
