I would pick Kobe to win about 60-65% of the time, mostly because he is bigger and a better defender. But Wade would win sometimes too, at least if he stays healhy.

Kobe is bigger and stronger while D-Wade is quicker.  Kobe is a much better defender, so Kobe could match his quickness and beat him to points.  D-wade would still shake Kobe a couple times but Kobe could post him and shot over him.  Kobe is a far better outside shooter.  It would be close, but Kobe would be D-Wade one on one.

Kobe is taller but not much to make a difference, based on my experiences playing basketball. Wade is a lot tougher and his athleticism is greater. Kobe is old, so this is not a surprise. Other than that, they're pretty much even in other categories. And after the games in Olympics, I'm only more convinced.

As much as I respect Wade and see him as Kobe V2, Kobe Bryant will beat him. If they entered the same year, Kobe will still beat him. Same age? Kobe. Wade as Kobe's age? Kobe. I don't think Wade will be able to sustain his performance when he turns 30 and that he won't be like Kobe.

Shawn J how is Wade tougher than Kobe? Have you seen anyone going to the basket with more fiercelessness than Kobe. Don't find advantages that are not there Wade is fanstatic driving to the basket but that's pretty all he does, Kobe got defense, jumper, range, footwoork, can pass, post up I mean I love them both but Kobe will beat Wade because he's way more complete!
