Wael El-Hindi, the crowned king of U.S. Squash Open Champion

Egypt's Wael El-Hindi confirmed the fact that Squash may have been initiated by the British and taken to a whole new level by the Khan's, but is currently being dominated by the Egyptians, as the sportsman clinched the 2010 U.S. Squash Open title, defeating
Netherlands' Laurens Jan Anjema.

Seeded no. 3 at the tournament, El-Hindi started off quite well to dominate 11-8. However, in a reverse of fortune, Anjema came back to bag the second set, based upon his 11-5 win. As the third set commenced, the professionals battled it out until the Egyptian
sportsman brought the set to a close, clinching it 11-7.

Furthermore, the deciding fourth set also went in favour of El-Hindi, as the athlete showed Anjema what he's all about, bagging the final set 11-7, to take the title.

Prior to making it through to the final, El-Hindi defeated the no. 9 seed, Olli Tuominen, in a crisp, four set match. Wael lost the first set 4-11. However, it was all downhill for Touminen from there onwards, as the Egyptian sportsman took the second set 11-9,
the third set 11-9, and the deciding fourth set 11-6, to be put through to the finals.

Alongside, Anjema was made to oppose Egypt's Omar Mosaad in the semi-final match of his draw. Laurens exercised his authority on the game, as he took the first set 11-4, followed by a 11-9 win in the second set. Mosaad however, rose in the third set, only to
take it 11-6. The tables were nevertheless, turned on Omar, as Anjema clinched the decider, 11-6.

El-Hindi went head-to-head with Canada's Nicolas Mueller in the quarter-finals of the 2010 U.S. Squash Open. After going nip and tuck in the first set, Wael finally took the set based upon his 15-13 win. Mueller seemed to have been demoralized, as he lost the
remaining two sets 11-9 and 11-8.

Anjema, on the other hand, faced Egypt's Mohammed Abbas in the quarter-final match played between the two. Seeded no. 4 at the tournament, Laurens started off by taking the first set 11-5. The Egyptian however, failed to reciprocate, as he was made to face
defeat in the second set, losing 10-12. Furthermore, the third set also went in favour of the Dutchman, as Abbas was thrashed 11-6 in the third set of the match.
Additionally, as evenly-contested Anjema and El-Hindi remained during the match, the Egyptian sportsmen, quite evidently proved to be more able than the Dutch.
