Waffle House waitress's help me plz!!?

Question

Plz explain this to me i don't understand how this makes 3 hashbrowns (Drop 2 hashbrowns and make one a double)

Plz breaak it down from me with out laughing. It don't make sense to me.

I work there now, I just started last night. The order just doesn't make sense to me. I don't have the book yet that I am supposed to get. The paper with abbrevation on it throws me off when i look at the menu you.

drop two hashbrown on the grill, make on of those hashbrowns a double order (2) so you end up with one single order & one double order - 3 total.the book basically contains everything you will need to know. dont get overwhlemed- it will come with time-

I don't work there but I figure you make 2 hashbrowns, but then you mix a 3rd one with one of them to make it a double. So that makes 3. But then again I don't work there.
