  1. It's the waffle house, are you kidding?

  2. yes

  3. ITS AVERAGE TIPS BUT IT SUCKS IF THERE IS NO BUSTBOY BECAUSE FOR SOME REASON THERE IS ALWAYS SYRUP UNDER THE PLATE ON THE SIDES

  4. You need to figure out what 15% (if you get tipped that) is of the most expensive item there.....probably what 10 bucks maybe.......and figure out the average customers served in a 4-8 hour shift.  Most of them are travellers stopping in for coffee and a snack so....

  5. i guess it mostly depends on how busy yall get...im not sure.

  6. depends on location and shift.  quick service and turn the tables around.  get them in and get them out.  my daughter started as a waitress at a beach front dive (to my horror) and then IHOP and now she is a manager at Ruby Tuesday, so I had to shut up. she says service, service, service.  bring them extra napkins, straws, etc. don't make them have to ask you for anything. watch their drinks. give them the tab before they have to ask.

  7. I am not sure exactly what the tips would be, but I can tell you that you need to be quick and usher them out quick to secure a good tip.... if you are slow... the food will have time to hit thier stomach and the diahrrea and gastric problems from the slop the Waffle House serves will ruin your chances of getting a good tip..... the secret is to get them while they are happy and before the squits start!!

  8. My sister worked at one and barely made gas money to get there. She worked at a different location and made really good money. It really depends on where it's at and how busy they are. I'd recommend going in to eat or whatever and make small talk with your waitress- ask questions then either apply or don't.

  9. good tips

  10. good tips.

  11. I tend to tip ($5.00 to 10.00 even if it is just me) well when the people are friendly and take care of things before I have to ask for them. The servers and waiters at waffle house actually have an advantage since they are so close to you in proximity they can notice that your coffee or drink needs attention.

I go to Waffle House about once a week (I guess) for several years now. I tip well each time because they service, friendless, and attention to me as a patron. I have only had once experience that was not up to par and that was in another state outside of my normal locations I go to within my city.

  12. well with a waffle house location has lots to do with it.  Do the tables turn fast otherwise I would say NO because the amount of the check is going to be low so there for the tips would reflect  that.  I would recommend a chain restaurant if you are hoping to make decent money.

  13. if you give good serves

  14. It depends on location and the time of your shift.  I know that if you work Sunday morning (when church's let out) the Waffle House is packed by my house.  I tend to only go after the bar lets out on saturday night (2am) and its packed then too.

  15. The only way to find out is to try.

  16. I work at a Waffle House in Orange TX.  i've been there 4 years.  My tips range from $55-100 a shift.  Hope this helps.
