My question is if a company does not pay you your wages for work done, where do you go? The company I worked for is in Massachusetts and I was working in Maryland. Because I missed some time they withheld a week's wages at the end of my contract I worked and fulfilled those hours, they have not/will not return the money owed me. It is a substantial amount roughly 1200$. So where do I go to dispute this court, the federal department of labor, or the Maryland or Massachusetts departments of labor.

  1. Department of Labor...Wage and Hour division, or you can sue in small claims court if the amount owed is $3000 or less. Hope this helps.

  2. Department of Labor  federal wise and also state wise. Don't let the man take your cash.
