Wage gap is real because of women life choices and lack of negotiating skill. Not because companies purposely pay women less(They try to pay everybody less). A company looks after itself first like u should look after yourself first. If your trying to get a job u should look for what u should be earning based on exper, degree,and location; if you dont and accept less it's your fault(men or women). Also MORE men seem to be more comfortable with the negotiating process than women and negotiating is a HUGE. Also people get paid want they are worth. Not all men are giving the same salary. Not all women are giving the same salary. Later if your important to the company and you re-negotiate u will usually get your money right. If so many companies did ALL women wrong by purposely paying women lower, they should be sued, dont say it would cost alot cause you would get a fortune when u will win cause your so sure your purposely underpaid.Why cant the media/women understand this ?
