The 25-year-old fast bowler from Lahore will now be playing for http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758 Premier League next month.
Wahab made his Test debut last year against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c56013 in the third match of the series at the Oval. The left-arm rookie picked up a five wicket haul in his very first outing at the highest stage of the game.
Wahab has all the skills of becoming a top quality fast bowler and is physically fit to bowl.
However, he lacks the ability to move the ball in the air or off the pitch. He admits that playing in English conditions is surely a http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Adam-Richard-Griffith-c41953 opportunity for him to enhance his skills.
He said, "It is a great opportunity for me to improve my bowling by playing in England for Kent."
The fast bowler said that his priority will remain http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755 and whenever he is required by the country, he will be available to play at any cost.
“Obviously I will be available on priority basis for Pakistan in its next international assignment in August in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Zimbabwe-c3045," Wahab added.
He has so far taken 17 wickets in seven Test matches at a mediocre average of 34.11 runs per wicket.
However, Wahab has been more effective in the limited overs format of the game. The left-arm fast bowler has grabbed 38 scalps in 22 One Day Internationals at a fabulous average of 23.57 runs per wicket.
He became a star for Pakistan when he took a five wicket haul in the semi-final of the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750, but his team ended up on the losing side.
Wahab has shown glimpses of his talent in International cricket so far but the cricket fans in Pakistan are hoping that he can improve more, so that Pakistan cricket does not feel the absence of the banned http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mohammad-Amir-c76675.
