who knows what this word means? It's "surfer" lingo. Possibly Hawaiian. Anybody know?

  1. It means "woman" in Hawaiian.


  2. In Hawaiian and Maorian culture it used to refer only to a woman of Polynesian descent.

    Now used all over the world, a wahine (pronounced wa-he-nee), just means a female surfer.
