Bright primary colors, especially red and blue!!! Purple and green work well, just intense colors. Right now I am picturing a red flowy tank top with gray skinny jeans and heels... Here you go!

Yup, it's neutral! Anything will match.  My personal favorite color with gray is burgundy, but that's just me.
