Wait a minute, I am confused, is this true?

I was talking with my friend Dante and he said that it was illegal for a man to hit a women! Well were I live anyway.

Isn't that a little unfair?!

Because we want to be equal but we don't have the same rights.

Why is it that a man can't hit a women but a women can hit a man? That doesn't make any sense.

Can someone explain to me why that is so wrong.

The laws feed the victimology of women.  I was taught to defend myself against ANYONE.  My ex husband hit me with a bat.  I hit him with a hockey stick, knocked him out, tied him up and let the cops cart him off to jail where he stayed for seven years.  

Intimate partner violence is illegal either way.  Learn to defend yourself, have self respect and you will find that you can and will reverse the social perceptions that women are born victims.

He was probably referring to domestic abuse; a more appropriate phrase would be "it is illegal for a man to beat a woman." Hitting and beating are two different things-- hitting ANYONE, male or female, can result in assault charges, but beating a spouse or partner is often a more serious crime. Although most perpetrators of domestic violence are male, there are women who beat their partners, and this is illegal as well.

PS - 'women' is plural.  'Woman' is singular.

It's illegal for anyone to hit anyone. It's assault. A woman cannot hit a man. A man cannot hit a woman. Only neanderthals hit one another.

It goes both ways, duh!  Neither s*x can hit the other.  Women can't hit men, men can't hit men, men can't hit women, and women can't hit women.  Hello?  It's called assault and it applies to everyone.

I don't want to hit men.  And I wouldn't expect anyone to hit me.  It's not legal for people to hit each other.  Ewwww.
