Wait seven days after every pack?

The packet with my birth control says that I have to wait seven days after starting the pack to have s*x. Is that just for people who are just starting out on their first pill pack or is that every time you start a new pill pack? I have been taking BC pills religiously for 6 months and have been waiting after seven days of every pack. Is that all in vain?

Its only for people who are starting the pill.  You are now protected.

no that is 7 days from the day you started taking birth control, and it should say to use a back up method in that time if you have s*x.

I do not know...but I do know that even taking them religiously you can STILL get pregnant...so I suggest you use a condom as well...but even that isn't 100% effective against pregnancy.

if you have been on the pill for 6 months, i think youre covered...lol...

usually, the doctor only tells you wait 2 weeks, then have all the s*x you want.

but just to be sure, since i dont know what pill you are on, i would call your doctor tomorrow and ask the nurse or doctor to clarify.

i thought the instructions are pretty easy to understand....obviously not for everyone
