Wait time for a 1 bedroom council property?

Just wondering if the what sort of waiting time there would be for someone who was being made homeless wanting a 1 bedroomed council flat (not in London or big city). I've heard it tends to be shorter as most people are after 2+ rooms for families?

good luck you might be in for a long wait. or you might end up being offered somewhere that aint so nice.. so watch what areas you apply for in the first place. cause once you reject 2 property's your back to the  end of the housing list again
