Waiting for my wedding dress... is this normal?

HIya,

I ordered my dress two months ago, and its due to be ready mid to late october... my question is... is it normal to not hear anything from them between now and then? I don't expect a daily call saying "Hi Miss Smith, they're still working on your dress" lol, just wondered what the norm is.

It really just depends on where you bought it from and who the designer is.

I bought my dress 8 months ago for my November 8th wedding. Yes, 8 months ago. It will not be here until late this month (August) but the designer is in Europe so that is why.

My bridesmaid dresses were from Davids and it took about 3 months to get those in.

It really just depends. Keep on top of it though.

I would call them about every three weeks just to check up on it. you DID pay money for it and you have every right to know the process correct? I think so. Love you mean it!

yeah its normal, but you could call them and ask about the dress i know i will

they will likely only phone you when it's ready but that doesn't mean you can't phone them to check how it's going and exactly when they expect it to get there.

I'd call them now and see how it's going and then again a month before and then again a week before. It's close enough to mid october to start phoning!

yes this is normal i didnt hear about mine until it was ready

Call occasionally to check in. You have a right to know what's going on.  Some of these bridal shops are notoriously slow.
