why are there 2 waiting list numbers when when we check for seats availlibilty in trains on indian railways website

  1. On your ticket 2 waiting list numbers are displayed because 1st number indicate number of wl at the time you purchase the ticket,whereas another 2nd number is actual wl number,this change do happen due to cancellation/withdrawal of earlier booked tickets.


  2. one number states the status at the time of booking and another number indicates status of person
