Question:

Waiting on a miscarriage?

This is a follow up to my previous post. I have had two ultrasounds in 2 weeks showing little progress and no fetal pole. First ultrasound showed no yolk just a gestational sac. Second ultrasound showed yolk, no fetal pole.

I was told the pregnancy is no good and that I can wait it out or have the D&C. I opted to wait it out. I will be 8 weeks tomorrow.

Anyone else have this happen? How long did it take for your body to remove the pregnancy.

  1. Oh honey. I am so sorry. This happened 3 out of the 5 times with me. Twice i had to have d&c's b/c my body just wouldnt do it. This is all up to you though, if you would rather do it then go ahead, if you feel that you just want to get it over with then go ahead. There is no right or wrong. Please take care of yourself, email me if you need to. Again i am so sorry. GOD BLESS...

  2. I don't know... but I'm very sorry.

  3. My best friend has had this happen to her twice after three succesful pregnancies.  The first time, it took about 9 weeks.  The second time, it took about 7 weeks.  Please take care of yourself in the meantime.  You can still have medical issues with bleeding.  She did the second time.  If it feels really wrong it probobly is.

    Sorry for your loss

be sure to stay healthy tho anyways, ur medical health can still be at risk with bleeding.

  5. I had a miscarriage after about 4wks, um because of concern for your health , it would be best to have the d & c. But make sure you have someone to talk to afterward it's rough, good luck and God Bless You.

  6. If you are only 8 weeks chances are the baby will be removed from your body soon. You may have to go in to the hospital and have them give you medicine to start the labor process if it doesn't start naturally on it's own. I'm sorry for your loss.

  7. it will be painful ...  lots of cramps and heavy bleeding.  =[   im sorry hun...  it may take 2 weeks, and your period wont get regular again until 4 to 8 weeks...

  8. I just joined up so I didn't see your other post.

I assume they know when you ovulated and what size to expect the pregnancy to be.

Kudos to you for waiting it out.... miracles sometimes happen... I would do exactly the same.

Sorry I can't answer your question....

    Cyber Hugs to you.

  9. depends

  10. Yes I had that happen to me. I waited and it happened within 48 hours of diagnosis but I was further along than my doctor first thought.I was in my second trimester.I didn't feel right about the D&C.I know now that it would have been easier on me physically but my heart kept hoping.I am so sorry! If you don't schedule the D&C you will go through a painful process.I was in the hospital overnight and still had to have the D&C.I can't remember how long before I felt better after the miscarriage but it took a couple of weeks.

  11. Most doctors will try to allow a month for your body to do the work but they don't want it left inside your body for more than a month due to infection that can happen.  I am so sorry for your loss.  I am too a mother of a little angel in Heaven and pray peace over you.  God Bless You!

  12. im so sorry. i can only imagine what that must feel like to have to wait for such an aweful thing. ive never had a miscarraige, but i have heard some people's bodies never remove them naturally. i would give it a little time though. are they sure the pregnancy is no good??
