  1. The highest tipping customers are the ones dining in the higher class, more expensive restaurants.

The problem is, that with no or little experience, your choices will be limited to those places that accept entry level wait staff, such as small diners and the chain family restaurants.  Even then, there is a good chance that all you may be offered is positions as bus staff.

  2. Olive Garden, TIG Fridays, Chilis anything like those. Their prices are reasonable so alot of people go there. but they are also high enough prices that you can easily make over a hundred in tips a night. I have worked at all 3 and personally Olive Garden was the best for tips. But you have to remember that anywhere you work, your tips are going to always be based off your attitude. If you are a happy person who smiles alot you are going to make good tips no matter where you are working.

  3. steak houses!!!

  4. I personally think Olive Garden the food is delish and it's packed i bet they pay a decent salary. If u believe in urself and ur ur potential u could achieve anything!

  5. Anywhere that has a bar will make you lots of tip if the tips are pooled. That means that at the end of the night all the tips are combined and each person gets a percentage. I used to work at TGI Fridays and the pay was good because it was always crowded at the bar, especially during sporting events and weekends. Make sure you really do want to be a waitress though because it's a messy job and customers can be really rude. I only ended up waitressing for 1 summer because the customers got on my nerves and I got tired of handling other people's food. haha

  6. I would say Texas Roadhouse or Hooters. Both pay extremely well but I worked at Hooters and the atmosphere is so much more fun, however Roadhouse is fun too.

  7. Try Red Lobster they are always busy and a great chance to get tips.

  8. i work in restaurants and i would say the more upscale fine dining, but if you don't have experience in those types, well your not getting a job there.  There always packed, i work in a 4 star 4 diamond restaurant in nc, and we do about 60-80 covers on weekdays and 100+ on the weekends and we've only been open a year.  Rich people will always have money, the recession  doesn't matter to them.

  9. Just about all steak houses have good tips when you waitress there, To name a few to consider are  Red Lobster  is probably the best choice, then IHOP, stands for  International House of Pancakes,  Waffel House stays packed, too!  There are a lot of them and they will let you get overtime and work two shifts in a row, too.  Also, youi can make a lot of tips at a  Holliday Inn resturant.   All big truck stops resturants.  That's the main ones I would choose.  I have waitressed at a lot of them over the years.  Oh and one more  that has really good tips and stays busy is Las Portallis or just about any good mexican food resturant.
