Waitressing ANYONE?

Question

Okay So I waitress, and for some odd reason I LOVE MY JOB, but of course we all have days where we hate our jobs.

Any one have any interesting stories, whether you were the waitress or the one being waited on?

Haha, yes.

I have had people puke at the table, accuse me of stealing their money (this was great because it was the begining of my shift. I didn't bring a bank that day so the only money I had was their ten dollar bill. When she claimed I gave her a twenty I was proven correct.)

I've also had customers ask me to describe, in detail, every item on the menu.

I had the lady next to me call the cops because she claimed my daughter threw salsa her and ruined her jacket and she wanted me to pay for it..

One, There was no salsa on the table and two, WHY would I let a 6 month old baby play in salsa, and Again, Can a 6 month of child even know how to throw salsa.. Yeah..The lady was insane!

I met one waiter at one of my favorite restaurants on a bus, and he recognized me (not by name, but as the girl who always orders extra-spicy.)

Also, at this one little Malaysian place several years ago, a waiter who knew my dad fairly well had brought his little son (and when I say little, I mean baby) and brought him to our table. The kid was adorable!! (Though the waiter quit soon after so he could father full-time. A shame since he was friendly, but still a good decision for the child.)
