Waitressing/Hostess: CPK, Cheesecake Factory, etc.?

Question

I want to be a waitress or hostess at a restaurant this summer -- do most restaurants hire seasonally? How hard would it be to get a hostess job at CPK, Cheesecake Factory, Outback, etc? I have no experience in the food industry but I do have customer service experience.

I'm 20, if that makes a difference

go to CPK, i work there, they'll higher anyone. Just go in there with a "can do attitude" and your in. Dont say anything about only wanting it for a seasonal job though!!!

you could prbly get a host/busser job. people come and go so much in the restaurant industry, so no need to tell them you will be leaving soon. you'll be surprised how many people will come and go in the short time you work.

If you have no experience they will probably start you off as a busser or host.

Dont tell them you just want a job seasonally. They wont want to hassle with the turn over.
