how fast should you go when pulling a wakeboarder behind a boat?

  1. Generally you go as fast as the wakeboarder tells you to using hand signals.  

    Most of the people I have towed like the speed somewhere between 17 and 22 mph.  You don't even have to hit the gas really hard to start because most people pop right up. The slower you go, the bigger the wake for jumping but at faster speeds the wake is narrower and easier to clear.

    You have to keep watching your speedometer because it is harder to keep a constant speed when going that slow, and that will really annoy the wakeboarder if you aren't being consistent.
