Wakeboarding - CWS Lotus 131cm good board?

Question

I just bought it and had been using an Airhead 143cm. Why is the Airhead so much easier even though acording to my weight the Lotus should be more appropriate? Is it because it's a more advanced board?

It's a more advanced board and when you went down that much in size, you lost a lot  of buoyancy for your weight, you lost some of the weight, so you can pull tricks off easier, but it's gonna be harder to get up when you lose that much buoyancy.  Plus the more advanced the board, the harder it is to get up, again because it is less buoyant.
