Wakeboarding faceplant.....?

I'm 5'2 115lbs and was boarding on a 143cm board without the fins on. I just recently bought the CWB Lotus 131cm and tried it out yesterday thinking it would be easier and while it is DEF easier to get air it is so much harder. For starters I had to take the fins off because it was so hard to carve, I couldn't catch my progressive edge so I took the fins off and it was a little easier but I kept doing faceplants, NOT FUN! What am I doing wrong? I know my toe edge was catching but that doesn't happen on my old board..

  2. what were you doing when you kept faceplanting? I saw this weekend several people pulling and putting pressure on the handle from the wrong hand, swinging the rear of the board forward...uh oh! facepalnt time. try really concentrating on bringing the handle to the front hip by initiating the pull from your back hand. make sense?
