Question:

Wakeboarding help please?

i really want to try to get some air, i have tried 20-25 mph and now i want to get air, could it also be the motor size, i think our small boat has a 75hp motor, would it be creating too small of a wake, or maybe the board is too big for me. anything please help

  1. how big are you? how big is the board? if the wake is small then you will be limited but make sure when you get up that the driver  adjusts the speed for the weight in the boat and the rope length. make the rope the length thats right for your wake so you can hit the cleanest part. you may have to go a little faster or slower to dial in whats right for your situation. then add more weight in fat sacks or buddies with money. then make a good progressive cut staying on edge through the wake. simple huh?


  2. the problem is your boat it's not the motor but the weight of your boat. i have a 21' cuddy cabin i/o drive and with the drive trim bow up and full trim tab down (stern up) I can get waist high wakes. what you can try is see if you can get fat sacks or some other ballast tanks for your boat. If you can add 300-500 # or as much as your placard will allow it should increase the wake size.
