The main thing is to get comfortable riding in both directions. try picking up the DVD Detention Vol 1-2. It is on Overtons.com for cheap. It explains everything from begginer to expert.

i would have board control and thts all u need to be able to do before you strt jumping the wake goo luck!!!!

knowing all the approved hand signals

performing a deep water start

riding behind the boat

performing a sitting dock start

going over the wakes

surfing the wakes (just going up and down on the wakes)

then you move onto sideslides, jumps
