Wakefield Trinity Wildcats sign England International winger Peter Fox to a three-year deal - Rugby

Wakefield based English Rugby League club, Wakefield Trinity Wildcats, has announced the signing of the talented winger Peter Fox from the Hull Kingston Rovers, to add depth to their squad.
Wildcats officials have confirmed the signing of Fox on a three-year deal, in a statement released on their website on Wednesday, August 10. The new long-term deal will allow Fox to return
to the Wildcats after a lapse of three years.
Wakefield Trinity Wildcats Chief Executive Officer, James Elston, has expressed his excitement at the return of Fox with the club. He expressed his satisfaction on the long-term engagement
of the player with the club.
Elston further added, “He is a very dynamic player who has shown great skill over his career that has deservedly earned him his representative honours. I’m very much looking forward to seeing
Peter in action for us and I can’t wait for his first try of many in the Wildcats shirt once again!”
England international winger has expressed his delight on returning to the Wildcats. He said, “The Wildcats were my first Super League club back in 2007 and after a memorable season it was
a major decision to move to Hull KR.”
Commenting on the reasons that compelled him to make his decision to join the Wildcats, Fox hinted the change in management, three-year super rugby license, new squad and development of the
new stadium are the key factors which affected his decision to join the club.
The 26-year-old Fox started his professional rugby league career with the York Knights in 2006. Later in 2007, he joined the Wildcats, where he played 24 games and scored 48 points in the season
for the Wildcats.
However, at end of the 2007 season, Fox joined the Hull Kingston Rovers.  He so far has made over 99 appearances for the Rovers in both Super League and Challenge Cup competitions.  He has
also scored 192 points, all comprising of the tries.
The North Yorkshire born Fox has been the Rovers top try scorer consecutively for last three years.  He added, “I am looking forward to regularly touching down for the Wildcats and adding to
my six caps for England. I can’t wait to get back”
Fox made his international debut for the England in 2008, and so far has played six international games for them and has seven international tries to his name.
Rovers have confirmed the departure of their star winger at the end of the 2011 season. Rovers Chief Executive, Mike Smith has commended the services of Fox for the club and expressed his best
wishes for his future.
