  1. Check out a waterski pro shop. There is nothing like having an experienced person to help you get into the equipment that is right for you. It's about that time of year when stuff starts going on sale and they will want to get rid of it at a lower price rather than hang on to it. Be honest with them about your weight as you want what is going to work best for you not what is best for the phantom who weighs ten pounds less than you. They may have a demo board you can rent and then apply the rent amount to the purchase of a new board or the demo board. A reputable shop will also stand behind what they sell if you have a problem with the equipment. Better to get the right board the first time and only have to make one purchase
