  1. The size of the wake can be altered by weighting only one side of the boat. Put all of your weight (ballast and people) on that side, empty the ballast on the opposite side and bow. Boat speed and turning arc could also affect the shape of the wake and how well the boat is producing a ride-able wear.

  2. There are several factors that may play into you nosing the board, size of your board, your stance, the size of your wake, and how far away from the boat you may be riding.  I've wakesurfed with my wakeskate so board size may not play as big a role in nosing but it could, depending on your size.  Your stance, you may be sanding too far forward and not in the right place on the wake to keep you momentum.  The size of the wake can be altered by weighting only one side of the boat.  Put all of your weight (ballast and people) on that side, empty the ballast on the opposite side and bow.  Boat speed and turning arc could also affect the shape of the wake and how well the boat is producing a ride-able wave.  Wear a PFD at all times and if you start to feel dizzy or queasy, stop, you could be suffering from carbon monoxide poisoning.  Other than that, keep trying and tweak any and all of the above parameters to dial in you wakesurfing ability.
