Question:

Waking up at 3:23 a.m. 5 nights in a row?

For the last 5 nights in a row, I have been awakened at exactly 3:23 a.m. Two nights in a row it was from my neighbors making noise, followed by two nights of my dog barking in the kitchen, and then last night my dog started whimpering and crying in the kitchen. ( He sleeps in a crate in the kitchen.) I am always tired and usually sleep very heavily so I am not considering taking any sleeping aids. I just find it odd that when I have been awakened each of these nights, it has happened at exactly the same time.

Any ideas?

  1. has somehting happened at that time in the past at that time?

maybe after the first 2 nights it became psycological, on my birthday I always wake up at the time of my birth.

Also, it becomes a habit so your body will be waking up at that time on instinct.

Exercise before you go to bed, knocks you right out.

Maybe try staying up till 3:23am on a weekend so that you can try ad work yourself out of the pattern.

    Luck

  2. nah, just a coinsidence.

  3. Please...Don't answer the red phone.

    (Kidding ;=))

Don't take a nap during the day...

...Turn out the lights at 10PM to raise your internal melatonin.

Drink warm milk or water to lubricate the brain

...try some natural melatonin tablets at 10:30... and use ear plugs (or a wad of moist tissue).  Add eye mask if that doesn't help.

Turn on the radio with soothing music very lightly so you can barely hear it.   That should relax your nerves.

Those are some useful ideas.  Have Sweet dreams and write us in the morning!!
