  1. I wake up throughout the night too. It depends on whats causing it!

You could be too hot, too cold, hungry, thirsty, a light sleeper, you might have had a bad dream, theres lots of things that cancause you to wake up during the night.

By now im used to it so I dont really care anymore!

  2. You could try lavender oil on your pillow, I know people who find this really works. Maybe getting into a good routine, such as reading for a bit before you go to sleep? Herbal teas are also good, you can ask in health shops and they'll give you advice.

Often when I can't sleep it's because I'm stressed, so it might help to think about what's bothering you.

  3. s*x,Melatonin, and if it doesn't work doctor

  4. Good s*x or smoking green normally works

  5. Try heating up some milk either on the stove in a pan, or in a cup in the microwave.  If desired stir in just a tough of sugar.  Is yummy and also helps you to go to sleep.  Hot or warm Tang works, too, also good for colds.  Hot Cocoa might help. Or drink some wine. Do this like half an hour before going to bed.  Not everyone is the same, so try different things a couple times to see which works best for you.

I agree, there are a lot of things that can cause you to wake during the night.  If you know what they are, then it may not keep you from waking from it. but will help get back to sleep. Like if you are waking up from being cold.  Then just have an extra blanket ready, or a fuzzy throw you can put against you under your top sheet, but on top of you.

If it is nightmares, then I don't know of anything that will prevent that.  I do know it is an old wives tale, but have found it to be true, and that is sleeping with socks on can be one cause of nightmare.  I've had it happen to me that way.  I also get the nightmares without socks, but more so with them one.  I don't wear sock most of the time anyway, only if they get really cold, like in winter.  Then if i happen to fall asleep with them one, I most generally get woken by a dream or nightmare.

In any circumstance, as in being cold, thirsty, hungry, nightmares!  I am not sure if there is anything a sure fire remedies that will prevent you from waking.  But what I mentioned above, they may help prevent it.

    Anyhow, Good Luck!
