Waking up in your dream and believing your actually awake?

Like you think you wake up and get into the shower but as soon as the water comes on your back in bed and you realise your still asleep and you'll "get up" again and it'll keep repeating? Or sometimes i'll get up to check the time and i'll get up and walk over to pick up my phone to see the time but as soon as i look at the screen i'll realise i'm still asleep and in bed.

Does this happen to anyone else? And is it lucid dreaming?

  1. Yes!  For me it has happened when I was exhausted!  Once I thought I woke up and it was dark in my room and I walked toward a calender that was hanging on my wall and bumped my head real hard...I tried to scream but nothing would come out.  I woke up and it was daylight in my room and I realized that I didn't even have a calender hanging on my wall...but I had a bad pain in my head.  It happened a few times before where I felt I was trapped between being awake and dreaming.  I think it happens when your REALLY tired and finally get sleep.

A lucid dream is a dream in which the person is aware that he or she is dreaming while the dream is in progress, also known as a conscious dream.  I guess that would be it?

  2. omg yes, i totally know what you mean, but for me its like i have the same thing over and over again, its really weird and stuff, its like im sleeping and the i have this dream of like an inside of one of these really really old colcks and there is a string there for some reason and something pulls it too tight and when its about to break it seems like i wake up and i see like my room as if i am sitting in my bed, but then i like go back to sleep and the same thing happens, but only when i really really wake up i realize that i was just dreaming it over and over again, but its nothing to worry about, it happens to most people, it happens to a lot of my best friends and my sis so its ok to have them

    hope it helps
