Question:

Wal Mart Money Gram - Safe or not??

Im about to purchase something from a person that lives in another state. Its an expensive program, that I checked out the serial and item # with the company to make sure it was real and it was. Guy seems legit enough...except he claims to not be able to do PayPal because of the $500 a month withdraw policy (which is real..the policy) and he says to go with Wal Mart money gram. As I understand, I make the Money Gram, send it, but the person can only pick it up if I give him the reference #. Is this true? So can I have him send me the product, make sure its working and everything is correct, then give him the Money Gram reference # so he can access the money? Thanks!

  1. I do a lot of business on eBay, and I occasionally buy something from a seller that won't take PayPal for one reason or another. In those cases, I pay by money order. US Postal money orders can be purchased at any post office, and they are widely recognized, inexpensive ($1.05) and easy to cash. I have never had a problem with paying by money order - I have problems with unethical sellers. The eBay feedback system weeds out most of the losers. I will not deal with sellers with less than 97% positive feedback or total feedback of 10 or less.

No one with any experience will send you an item before receiving payment. That is always foolish.

Added later: Yes, that is correct that your seller would not be able to access the money until you give him the transaction number.

  2. walmart money gram is safe enough ive used it for years...however..id be more concerned with this person.i dont send money to someone/company  im not familar with....its better to send a money order, that way you can freeze the money order if you dont recieve the product (make sure you dont lose the money order reciept thats attached to the money order..put it in a safe place)plus you dont have to send out any personal info that would have to do with some things such as a check.being nice over the phone/internet doesnt mean that it is a reputible place to buy.when i order online ..i always make sure i ONLY order from a company that ive heard of and know for sure that is reputible.but im having problems understanding why he cant use paypal?all the reputible companies (walmart included) uses paypal ..so why cant he?

  3. I wont trust it  once he gets the money and if you dont recive the product you are out of luck

paypal does offer sometype of servcie where you pay this

servcie to hold on your money until the transactions are completed

its a safer way to go
