Wal-Mart site to store shipping?

Does site to store shipping generely take longer than if you where to pay to have an item shipped to your house?

Usually takes just a couple days longer.  Seems like it would be the opposite.

It depends when the store receives there orders from the warehouse, generally it takes longer because they will add it to the next scheduled delivery from the warehouse to the store's location, therefore instead of shipping it out to you right away , it could be 4-7 days before it leaves the warehouse to be trucked to the store/

The items I ordered site to store took several days longer than the ones that I had home delivered.
