Question:

Wal-Mart would not take my online coupons??

I have been using printed coupons for quit some time now. This last weekend Wal-Mart told me that they could not accept any coupons that were printed online. This was a first that the coupons were not accepted. I did not understand because the cashier did not even try to scan them she just said we cannot take them. Even the store manager could not explain why she just said we will not take them. Can anyone help here??? Is there somewhere that I can complain about it because like I said I use them all the time? Also, I do not want to waste my time if I cannot use the coupons.

I print the coupons off of coupon.com or coolsavings.com and sites that I have seen on like Good Morning. I know that they are good because my local grocery store will accept them and even double any coupon under $1 (the store is just more expensive the Wal-Mart).

Thanks for the feedback in advance!

  1. I haven't had this problem yet but I've read on quite a few couponing boards that people in different regions are having problems with online coupons. Perhaps you should try calling the corporate office because it does say on their coupon policy:

    Wal-Mart Coupon Policy

Wal-Mart accepts the following types of coupons

    Internet coupons

The following are guidelines and limits:

Internet coupons should be legible and say "Manufacturer Coupon." There should be a valid remit address for the manufacturer and a scannable bar code.

Maybe it might be an enforced policy nationwide because of all the fake coupons being made....hope this isn't the case.

A few other good sites for printable coupons are:

    www.boodle.com, www.redplum.com, www.smartsource.com

  2. I ran into the same problem with Walmart in Alabama.  Winn Dixie will accept them though so goto them!  Guess Walmart has calculated down to the second that it is not worth it to them to allocate an employees time to mail them off.  Walmart participates in Govt programs to hire peep and I guess, there isnt enuf cash into it for them to help customers save money anymore.  I'd complain to the BBB, Federal Trade Commission and find people who attend their yearly sales meetings that can pass on customer displeasures such as this.  Walmart might be technilogically in tune to POS systems but they need to figure out other ways to make money.

  3. This problem happens because some evil people tamper with coupons online to change expiration dates, etc. However, if they are legit coupons, Walmart's policy is to accept them.  See the helpful information at this link:
