  1. umm, Its walmart so idk.

    Try Petsmart or Petco.

If its namebrand than it has to all be the same prices.

I trust a real pet store than walmart.

    goodluck.

  2. Usually you get the tank, heater, thermometer, lid, light and filter.

  3. i got a 29 gallon with tank, lid, light,  Aqua tech filter, and a small amount of food and water conditioner for $88.00 three years ago. They have since gone up to around 90.00 but you still cant buy all that for that price.

Kits are the way to go even though of course the light system that comes with it are worthless for growing anything but java moss and java ferns.

But it will get you started for less than 100 bucks.

I cant remember if it came with a heater.. but I prefer submersible so I replaced it if it did come with one.

I trust walmart as long as it's not live fish.

though they do have figure eight puffers and BOTH my local petsmarts dont have any, never have.

Walmart fish are good only if you can catch them when the shipment comes in. this way they dont have time to catch diseases from the water never being changed...

Good luck! Dont forget to cycle!

(If you go to a "real" pet store your getting the same tank, most likely manufactured by the same people under a different name, and your going to pay WAY more. It's all glass and silicone no matter where you buy it, walmart just has much more reasonable prices.)

The tank I bought three years ago has since had the heater and lighting replaced (by my choice not because it stopped working, the lid I still have on another tank still works three years later)

the filter that came with it, I still have and it still works great. I have since stopped buying the carbon inserts that go in it, but I am saving a good bit of money and housing much more bacteria using other filter medium's instead of the inserts.

  4. well they come with the basics hood, filter, heater, and maybe a lil bit of food.... but the filter and heater they give you are c**p but you can use for like 6 months then id suggest buy a better one..

  5. Yes I trust wal-mart fish tanks.  I have one and it works just fine. usually you get a filter and like starter things with the tanks. If you visit a pet supermarket or any animal supply place they can suggest some better ones. The ones from wal-mart work well if you keep the tank clean.

  6. I belive the name brand tanks are ok... but the fish therre arent the best. I bought 5 fish and they all died in a week with the right kind of food, clean water, and enough room.

  7. i think i got mine for 20 a 40 gal one

it came with a temp flirter air pump
