http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Theo-Walcott-c34873 could be used as a striker, given the way he has been performing up front.
The twenty three year old http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 international has gone on to express his desire to play up front on a number of occasions, but it seems like he may finally get what he has been asking for.
Last night, the winger went on to play up front, and he score two good goals, as he helped the Gunners beat Coventry by six goals to one.
Both the goals that he scored displayed just how good his finishing can be, which seems to have impressed the manager quite a bit.
Wenger, when talking about Walcott and just what the future could hold in store for him is reported to have said: "[Walcott] is a great finisher now. In front of goal he is absolutely amazing"
“At the moment there is big competition [up front] and the team is doing well. His time will come. At the moment we have to be patient.”
"I'm not against [playing Walcott through the middle] at all."
The manager also went on to talk about the fact that he was quite delighted with Olivier Giroud finally scoring his first goal for the Gunners. The French international scored the opening goal of the game, as he lobbed the keeper with a very delicate chip,
and then sent the ball in motion for Arsenal to win the game by a considerable goal difference.
"It was in everybody's mind and a case of the sooner he gets it the better," he observed. "It was more in his mind than in ours. It's a positive.”
"He's a good finisher but at the moment I believe he is looking for confidence and that will help him."
With Giroud now full of confidence following him scoring, and with Walcott now looking like he could also play in a number of positions for the team, Arsenal are seemingly looking better than they did last week.
Given the fact that they have been highly impressive so far, it is a wonder as to how they are going to perform from here on.
