Wales make three changes for bronze medal clash against Wallabies - Rugby World Cup
The head coach of Wales, Warren Gatland, has featured three changes to his team that played against France last weekend. All three changes have been made in the forward bunches followed by a few injuries and suspensions to their players.
The Wales coach named his 22-man squad on Tuesday for the third position match against Australia to be played on October 21. Making the announcement of his team Welsh said that only a few changes have been made in the team as the current combination is playing
pretty well in the tournament.
Tighthead Adam Jones will miss the clash due to an injury he sustained during his last outing in the ongoing event. He will be replaced Paul James at that particular position. Among other changes, Bradley Davies will be featuring in the Wales lines up in
place of Wyn Jones, who has been rested after extensive competition in the event. Whereas Sam Burton, the team skipper, will not be available due to a three match ban from IRB.
Sam Warburton was red carded by referee in the semi-final clash against France as he gave a brutal tackle to Vincent Clerc in the 18th minute of the match and Gethin Jenkins will lead the side in his absence.
Talking about the upcoming match against Wallabies, Gatland said that, “We face Australia back home at the Millennium Stadium in just over a month's time, and we are single-minded in our assertion that we want that homecoming to be a celebration of us achieving
the status of one of the top three teams in the world.”
The coach further said that, “We have come a long way and put together a string of performances that the nation can be proud of so far in New Zealand. And we need to ensure that the history books reflect what we know we are capable of. And it is only by
beating the Wallabies on Friday that we feel this will be achieved.”

Wales: 15 Leigh Halfpenny, 14 George North, 13 Jonathan Davies, 12 Jamie Roberts, 11 Shane Williams, 10 James Hook, 9 Mike Phillips, 8 Ryan Jones, 7 Toby Faletau, 6 Dan Lydiate, 5 Luke Charteris, 4 Bradley Davies, 3 Paul James, 2 Huw Bennett,
