Question:

Walgreens policy on superiors dating underlings?

Anyone know what the corporate policy is if say a manager is dating a lower ranked manager under them, and not telling it to human resources?

Is it even viewed bad? Do they get in trouble?

I think they're moving to different stores soon, but others and myself know it's been going on awhile, and something was going on even before the dating, and isn't that inappropriate since technically for awhile she was writing his reviews and assigning jobs to all the managers while she really was privately with him?

Or is that okay these days and ways have just changed?

  1. This is totally inappropriate and should be reported to human resources immediately. If there is no one at your store that you feel comfortable reporting it to (it sounds like your store manager knows and should have reported it but didn't, is that right?) then you should report it to the district office.

Any time there is a personal relationship that is adversely affecting the work environment, and it has since it's caused suspicion and possible job favors or the appearance of such, then this must be investigated. And if it has been investigated and there is no cause for suspicion then you should be informed of that so that your fears can be put to rest. But it should be done by an objective party in the HR department so that you can trust the decision. That is only fair to all the parties involved in this situation
