Walk On Fire burns competition in first of three finals at Shelbourne
Shelbourne Park hosted three 500 euro finals on Saturday. The first race on the card was an A2 final over 525 yards, and two A1 finals were raced later in the day.
Shelbourne A2 525 Final

The A2 final saw 2-1 joint favourites, Walk On Fire and Daring Lee, finish in first and third place respectively. In between them in second was Biko Duke. Fire won the race by a 1/2 length over Biko with
a time of 28.90 seconds, his first win since April.
Lee was able to beat Fire in the semi-final despite a slow start, but wasn’t able to repeat that performance in the final, this time finishing 1½ lengths behind Fire.
In fourth was Doodle Doo, and in fifth was Airforce Sheriff. Last place went to Royal Kate.
Shelbourne A1 525 Final
It was 7-4 race favourite, Touch Of State, winning the A1 final over 525 yards by three lengths over Tyrur Thursday with a time of 28.71. State looked good in the semi-final, and looked good again in the
final, taking both races with few complaints from his competition.
In third was Black Hall Pearl, who finished 1 ½ lengths behind Thursday, and in fourth was Highview Horizon. Cool Ivy Hill, who took second behind State in the semi-final, finished last in this one behind
fifth place finisher Glencullen Lad.
Shelbourne A1 575 Final
It was a tight finish in the A1 final over 575 yards. An Tochar Rocket took first over Peggy by a head with a time of 31.77, and Mid West Blue was only a neck behind Peggy in third.
In fourth was Tipp Jewles, and in last was Almost Adorable, who replaced Menlo Polly in the fifth trap, and was anything but Adorable to punters who were looking to take advantage of her 8-1 odds. Gold
Ruby, who drew the first trap, dropped out of the race and was not replaced.
Hugo Farrell 70th Birthday A1 525
There was another A1 race further down on the card, the €250 Hugo Farrell 70th Birthday over 525 yards.
Rosberry Lad, the 9-4 race favourite, won this A1 race by a length over d**k Turpin with a time of 28.65. Turpin was the longshot in this race, coming in at 6-1, and did well to stay close and take second
place.
In third, 5 lengths back of Turpin, was Saving April, and behind him in fourth was The Other Triger. In fifth was Tyrur Manuel, and in last place was Airforce Coragio.
