Walk in wardrobe?

Could anybody give full description to it? From the wording, I guess it means that wardrobe is large enough to let someone in. By google image, I find that it represents open wardrobe. Could anybody tell what it exactly means? Many thanks in advance!

  2. Well most of us have a wardrobe we open and look into, very rich people and Victoria becham have a wardrobe the size of Narnia, you open the door walik into it and enter a world of clthes and shoes and you have a railway engine to take you around all of the clothes and accesories held within.                                  in fact its a ride through wardrobe

  3. I think its pretty self explanatory, don't you think? Its like a room for your clothes.

  4. As an expat living in the USA I have a walk in wardrobe or closet (USA term). It is normally a room just for clothes, situated near the master bedroom and en-suite.  Joking apart my husband calls it the fifth bedroom without windows.  I just remember being excited about a built in wardrobe in our second house in the UK before we moved to the US.

  5. A walk in wardrobe is one which is large enough that you have to walk into to choose/select your clothes. Rather than simply standing in your room and looking into your wardrobe (which is what a built in wardrobe is), you walk into your wardrobe.
