Walk off win David Wright?

Do you think this will get him out of his slump? Who agrees this is just what the Mets needed (other than the fact the Santana got another no-decision after pitching a gem).

Theres a good chance this could be the thing to pull him out but they need him if the Mets want to win the east.  Now is the time for the Mets to gain.  Florida has a brutal schedule in August and the Mets need to brace for the end of the season when they play 4 games vs the Cubs followed by 3 games vs the Marlins to close out their season.  But the mets need to get a streak going b/c the Wild card is most likely coming out of the NL central...

And yes I couldnt agree more about Santana 2.85 ERA and only 9-7.  Those numbers didn't even happen in the 60's and 70's when pitchers like Gibson and Jenkins dominated hitters.

Yes. David Wright is too good of a hitter to stay in a slump for an extended period of time, and I think the walk-off will probably help him break out of it now. I wish the Cardinals had gotten a walk-off home run today, but oh well. I wish your Mets good luck the rest of the year. Here's a star!

Hopefully, but they really need to get the bullpen straightened out. Jerry needs to do something unorthodox to turn them around, like to make Aaron Heilman the closer.

Maybe if they put more pressure on him, he'll just pitch and won't think as much.
