Tottenham Hotspur defender http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Kyle-Walker-c21566 has hailed the impact of manager Andre Villas-Boas and insists that the Portuguese has finally settled at the club.
The English right-back insists that the manager has had a positive impact at the club after an early slow start to the campaign due to a period of adjustment.
Walker believes that Villas-Boas has a very systematic and methodical approach towards training and tactics and insists that the Portuguese’s method is different and unique from any other managers he has worked with.
Villas-Boas made a very slow start to his Premier League career with Tottenham. Having previously served a short spell with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, the Portuguese is no stranger to the physical demands and rigours English top flight football.
However, Villas-Boas was not able to make an impact at http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786, and was rather harshly and prematurely dismissed by owner Roman Abramovich. His football philosophy was not appreciated by the owner, who wanted quick results and was not interested in his plans
for the future.
The Portuguese tactician was appointed as Spurs boss in the summer, and his arrival was greeted with a mixed reception. While many thought he would fail at White Hart Lane, others had high hopes from the manager who led Porto to the Portuguese quadruple
two seasons ago.
Villas-Boas took his time to settle in, and had a very mixed start to the season. However, now it seems as if he has finally found his feet and looks set to take Tottenham towards success.
Walker praised the manager’s approach and the positive impact he has had so far. He said:
“All the lads are getting used to it now. Foreign managers have a different way of playing football.”
“The manager is not one to start raising his voice and chuckling things but you can tell when he is angry. You know he is disappointed because he knows you can do better. I’ve not heard him shout yet, but he is very passionate about football and Tottenham.”
"The training sessions are different every time depending on who we are playing and he has helped me with my game."
