Does anyone know the directions to walk from Via Margutta, 61 to the Borghese Zoo in Rome? Or is there a website that gives walking directions similar to Mapquest driving directions?

  1. You can go to Google maps and search for Via Margutta, Rome.

From the locator arrow, the zoo is north east, on Viale del Giardino Zoologico.

However, there is a hill/ridge running NW to SE and from Via Margutta, 61, streets in the direction you want to go, don't go up the hill.

I would suggest that you walk down to the Spanish Steps. There is pedestrian tunnel from the Spagna metro station to the park entrance by the Via Veneto.

From there, walk up Viale Mueso Borghese to the museum, then turn left and follow Viale dell'Ucceliera to the zoo.

If you are going to Rome, I suggest that you get the A->Z map book (Lo stradario pocket Roma 2008)  It's great for finding your way around the city. It has a street index that is 140 pages long.

  2. The equivalent of Mapquest in Italy is www.tuttocitta.it

Since it looks like there's no english translation, I made the query for you and you can find it here by clicking on this link:
