Question:

Walking across ireland?

I'm living in Galway for the semester, and have a few weeks in April free. I do a lot of hiking back home in the northeastern US, and was wondering about whether it would possible to walk to Dublin. I'm an experienced hiker, I was just wondering about logistics of how long it would take, whether this is something other people do, if I should stick to main roads. Any thoughts are welcome!

  1. The best people to ask would be the Mountaineering club in N.U.I.    ( The National University of Ireland..in Galway)

Perhaps this is where you're studying?

They do a lots of mountaineering and also hiking and would surely map out a good route.

They have a decent webpage so go google NUI mountaineering club..

Be prepared this would be quite a walk, I hike a lot myself so email me any qu's.
